Desert Poem

Blazin' ball on a broken black angel's wings
The desert sun comes from set to rise again
Let it rest upon your blistered flesh
Your opened mind
Even in the night you can shine

Carcass birds buzz around
Pay it no mind, pay it no mind
Every weary step brings another bout of pain
But with it, a rocketing madness inside
The perfect high

Cut loose these threads and fall to your knees
You're free now son, you've always been
Shrug that heavy load off your shoulders
No evil in the world can stop your mind

Close your eyes, your head spins with the sacred
It becomes hard to walk straight out in these sands
In every direction a road to travel
All different, still connected as one
And yet as none

Between the planes and away from time
Let the stars in, free from your constrains
