Got to see Metric for FREEEEEE on Tuesday! I was downtown seeing RJ and as I was heading out I received a call from Karina who asked me in a rather hurriedly if I could possibly, potentially, maybe make it to The Vogue in 10 minutes. "Whyever do you ask, Karina?" was my reply; she responded that she had been out canvassing and had signed up some lovely miss who worked at The Vogue. Their conversation lead to the topic of Metric's show The Dears and Tokyo Police Club that night, and Karina at this point still not knowing that Lovely Miss worked at The Vogue, mentioned that she had really wanted to go but could not afford it.
Well what great fortune! Lovely Miss offered Karina and Another Friend free entrance.
The show was fokin' stellar. I left feeling so serene and at peace and it was just such an awesome experience.
My artistic abilities seem to have returned, FULL THROTTLE BABY! Or I guess my passion to follow these abilities into creativity would be a better way of putting it. Started drawing a few pictures, then got my hands in some paint and now I'm even writing poetry and songs again. This was something I thought had been put behind me permanently, so to have it back is just so amazing and intense. As far as to why they came back, I'm guessing I just needed something to call a part of me after not having anything at all for a good year.
(I love that I can finally type this all out on my laptop at home. Wifi yeayeayea!!!)
